Fantastic Website Found: “Our Family Wizard”
I thought I would use this opportunity to share with you a gem of a website that I found: www.ourfamilywizard.com. This site is a tool to assist separated or divorced families communicate over the Internet.
This can be called a form of “parallel parenting”, which is a way for parents to communicate without the need to interact face-to-face.
This site helps parents maintain and coordinate schedules, share health records, immunization histories, expense information, and other important family information. There is also an online storage tool to keep family documents safe and accessible to both parents.
How it works: Each parent is given login information. When information needs to be exchanged or messages need to be conveyed, simply make an entry into the system. The next time the other parent logs in, your information or message will pop-up for the other parent to see.
Are your kids using the computer? Your kids will get a free account for mom and dad to send messages to them. These messages are private to each child. Messages between mom and dad will not be seen by the kids.
I encourage you to check out the site to see if it will work for your family. It is a subscription-based service with a nominal fee. Rest assured I have no vested interest in promoting this site; I simply want to relay any information which I believe may help your binuclear family become more co-ordinated as it relates to the children.
