Commissioner of Oaths & Notary Public

Commissioners Of Oaths are persons empowered under provincial legislation to administer and witness the swearing of oaths or solemn affirmations in the taking of an affidavit for any potential legal matter. They are also empowered to witness any declaration as required under a statute. The person swearing an oath or making an affirmation or making a declaration is called a deponent or a declarant.

Marty R. Kindrachuk and Stephanie L. Dobson are able to notarize and/or commission your documents for a nominal fee. Being a cross-jurisdictional firm, we are able to serve your needs for documents requiring notarization and commissioning in both Alberta and Saskatchewan for use worldwide.

Please contact our office to schedule an appointment. All parties who are required to sign the documentation must attend at our office and must sign in front of the notary public or commissioner of oaths. Please bring valid photo ID with you to your appointment.

A Notary Public is someone who can witness oaths, solemn affirmations, the signing of affidavits, or statutory declarations. A notary public may also certify documents to be true copies of the original.

Stephanie is formally trained in, and actively promotes, Collaborative Family Law and Family Mediation as valuable ways to resolve family disputes while avoiding court.

Collaborative Family Law is a process where you and your spouse, together with your lawyers, will enter into an agreement to work out your issues outside of the courtroom. You, your spouse, and each of your lawyers work together in 4-way meetings to address and creatively resolve legal and non-legal matters affecting your family. Throughout the process, lawyers advise the parties on your legal rights and obligations, while allowing you to find your own creative mutually-acceptable solutions.
